Hero Vida V1 Plus Returns With Competitive Pricing: Rs 1.15 Lakh Launch Price
Hero MotoCorp, a leading player in the Indian automotive industry, has unveiled its latest addition to the electric scooter segment - the Vida V1 Plus. Priced at Rs 1.15 lakh (ex-showroom), inclusive of the FAME II subsidy and a portable charger, this offering aims to provide consumers with an affordable yet feature-packed electric mobility solution. With additional state government subsidies, such as in New Delhi where it will be available for Rs 97,800, the Vida V1 Plus presents an attractive option for environmentally conscious commuters.
Compared to its premium counterpart, the Vida V1 Pro, the Vida V1 Plus comes with a significantly reduced price tag of Rs 30,000, making it even more accessible to a wider range of customers. Despite sporting a slightly smaller 3.44 kWh battery pack, the V1 Plus boasts a commendable claimed range of 100 km on a single charge, making it suitable for daily urban commutes.
Both the Vida V1 Plus and V1 Pro share the same 6 kW electric motor, delivering a top speed of 80 kmph and accelerating from 0 to 40 kmph in just 3.4 seconds. Alongside performance, these scooters are equipped with a range of features including a fully-digital instrument cluster, LED lighting, multiple ride modes, and smartphone connectivity, ensuring a modern and convenient riding experience.
Hero MotoCorp's foray into the electric scooter market has seen mixed results, with January witnessing a slight drop in sales compared to the previous year. However, February marked a significant rebound with the company selling 1,750 units. Notably, the Vida V1 series has experienced a resurgence in sales since July 2023, reaching a milestone of over 3,000 units sold in September of the same year.
With the reintroduction of the Vida V1 Plus, Hero MotoCorp aims to leverage this positive growth trajectory by providing consumers with a more budget-friendly option without compromising on quality or features. This move not only aligns with the company's commitment to sustainable mobility but also caters to the evolving needs of the Indian market for affordable electric transportation solutions. As the electric mobility sector continues to expand, Hero MotoCorp's strategic offerings are poised to make a significant impact on the industry landscape.
