Hyundai Venue 2025: Full Engine Lineup Revealed — From Base to Top Variant, Here's What's New
The Hyundai Venue has steadily grown into one of India’s most popular compact SUVs, known for blending practicality with modern design. With the 2025 Venue, Hyundai aims to take things up a notch by offering a larger, more feature-packed, and technologically advanced version of its compact SUV. One of the biggest highlights this year is the introduction of an automatic gearbox for the diesel variant — a first for the Venue lineup. Alongside this, the new model will continue to offer both naturally aspirated and turbo-petrol engines, making it more flexible than ever before.
Bookings for the 2025 Venue are already open, and Hyundai has designed each variant with a distinct customer group in mind. The new Venue will come with three engine options — a 1.2-litre petrol, a 1.0-litre turbo petrol, and a 1.5-litre diesel — giving buyers the freedom to choose between efficiency, performance, or long-distance comfort.
In terms of performance, the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine delivers 83 PS of power and 114 Nm of torque, paired exclusively with a 5-speed manual gearbox. It’s best suited for daily city commutes and buyers who prioritize fuel efficiency. Next up is the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, producing 120 PS and 172 Nm, available with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic (DCT). This engine caters to those who seek a more spirited drive. Finally, the 1.5-litre diesel engine produces 116 PS and 250 Nm, and for the first time, it will be available with both a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission — making it an excellent option for highway cruisers and frequent long-distance drivers.
The 2025 Venue lineup will consist of eight variants — HX2, HX4, HX5, HX6, HX6T, HX7, HX8, and HX10 — each offering different engine and transmission combinations. The base HX2 variant will feature all three engine options but only with manual gearboxes. The HX4 will focus solely on the 1.2-litre petrol manual setup, catering to cost-conscious buyers. The HX5 stands out as the most versatile variant, offering all engine and transmission combinations — petrol, turbo petrol, and diesel, with both manual and automatic options.
Moving higher up, the HX6 will cater primarily to petrol buyers, offering a 1.2-litre manual and a 1.0-litre turbo DCT. The HX6T variant continues with the 1.2-litre petrol manual setup. The HX7 focuses on diesel buyers and will only come with the 1.5-litre diesel manual, while the HX8 targets enthusiasts with its 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, available in both manual and DCT versions. Finally, the top-spec HX10 variant is exclusively diesel-powered, available with both manual and automatic transmissions.
