Royal Enfield is preparing to enter the electric motorcycle space, and its first model has already been spotted testing on Indian roads. The upcoming bike, called the Flying Flea C6, was recently seen without camouflage, offering a clear glimpse of what appears to be its near-production design. The motorcycle is expected to launch around April 2026 and will introduce the brand’s new electric sub-brand, Flying Flea.

A Design Inspired by the Past

Unlike many modern electric motorcycles that focus on futuristic styling, the Flying Flea C6 takes inspiration from classic motorcycles used during the Second World War. The bike features a low-slung bobber-style stance and a slightly stretched front end that gives it a distinctive presence on the road.

One of the most eye-catching elements is the girder-style front suspension, a design rarely seen on modern motorcycles. The bike also features a forged aluminium chassis and a magnesium battery casing. These components are designed to help with cooling while keeping the overall weight balanced.

Round LED lights at the front and rear further enhance the motorcycle’s vintage appeal while still offering modern lighting technology.

Single Seat and Classic Proportions

The test model seen on the road featured a single-seat layout, adding to the minimalist and retro character of the bike. However, a pillion seat could be offered later either as an accessory or as part of a different variant.

Electric Powertrain

Power for the C6 comes from a mid-mounted electric motor. While Royal Enfield has not yet revealed official details about the battery capacity or motor output, the configuration suggests a balanced design focused on urban performance and efficiency.

More technical specifications are expected to be announced closer to the motorcycle’s official launch.

Modern Technology Inside

Despite its vintage inspired design, the Flying Flea C6 will come equipped with modern technology. The motorcycle features a circular TFT display that provides information such as speed, trip details, battery status and riding range.

The display also supports Bluetooth connectivity, allowing riders to access navigation and other connected features directly from the instrument cluster.

Advanced Electronic Features

The C6 will introduce several advanced rider assistance features that have not been seen on Royal Enfield motorcycles before. These include traction control, cornering ABS and cruise control. The bike will also offer five ride modes, allowing riders to adjust performance depending on road conditions and riding style.

Another Electric Model on the Way

Royal Enfield has already confirmed that the Flying Flea C6 will not be the only electric motorcycle in its lineup. A second model, called the Flying Flea S6, is also in development. This upcoming bike will feature a scrambler-style design and is expected to arrive after the C6.

As the launch date approaches, more details about the Flying Flea C6, including its battery specifications, range and pricing, are likely to be revealed. The motorcycle marks an important step for Royal Enfield as the brand begins its journey into the electric mobility era.
