BharatPe Flex Launched For UPI Users, Offers Credit Limit Up To Rs 60,000

Using UPI for everyday payments could become more flexible with BharatPe’s new credit facility. Fintech company BharatPe has introduced BharatPe Flex at the Global Fintech Fest 2026, allowing eligible users to make UPI merchant payments using an approved credit limit.

The feature is designed to bring card-like credit convenience to UPI without requiring users to carry a physical credit card or install another application.

Credit limit of up to ₹60,000

BharatPe Flex works through the Credit Line on UPI system. Based on a user’s credit profile and eligibility, an approved limit of up to ₹60,000 per month may be available.

The facility can be used for both online and offline payments made to UPI merchants. This means users can either scan a QR code at a shop or use UPI while making an eligible online purchase.

The actual credit limit and terms will depend on the user’s eligibility and applicable regulations.

Multiple repayment options

BharatPe Flex gives users different ways to repay the amount they spend.

According to BharatPe, users can clear their spending within 45 days. Those looking for a longer repayment period can also choose EMI options ranging from 3 to 12 months, subject to applicable terms and eligibility.

This gives users the flexibility to select a repayment option based on their requirements rather than having a single repayment route.

No physical credit card needed

One of the key features of BharatPe Flex is that users do not need a physical credit card to access the facility.

There is also no requirement to download a separate app. The credit option is integrated into BharatPe’s existing UPI app, allowing eligible users to make payments through the platform they already use.

The company aims to make credit a natural part of the UPI payment process instead of treating it as a separate financial product.

Rewards on eligible spending

BharatPe Flex also comes with fixed rewards on eligible everyday transactions. Users can also keep track of their credit usage through the app.

The facility will show how much of the approved limit has already been used and how much remains available. This can help users monitor their spending while using the credit facility.

Bringing credit and UPI together

Credit cards have traditionally been used for everyday purchases, from small transactions to larger expenses. BharatPe Flex takes a similar approach but brings the credit facility directly into the UPI ecosystem.

For eligible BharatPe users, the feature could make it easier to access short-term credit while making regular merchant payments. With digital payments already widely used for daily purchases, BharatPe is looking to combine the convenience of UPI with the flexibility of credit.
