EPFO Rules - PF Transfer Not Done Yet? Here’s What You Can Do
Changing jobs often means transferring your EPF balance from your old employer to your new account. For this process, the Date of Exit must be correctly recorded in your EPFO service history. If your previous employer has not updated it, the PF transfer can get delayed.
The good news is that eligible EPFO members can update their Date of Exit themselves through the UAN portal, without depending on their former employer.
Log in to the EPFO portal, open View and select Service History. The Date of Exit should appear against your previous employer's details.
In that situation, contact your previous employer and provide supporting documents such as your salary slip or relieving letter. You can also raise the matter through the EPFO Grievance Portal if the issue remains unresolved.
Keeping your employment details accurate can make PF transfer and other EPFO services much smoother.
