Gold and Silver Rates Today, October 2, 2026: Check 24K, 22K Prices in Major Cities
Gold and silver prices remained largely steady in the Indian market on Gandhi Jayanti, October 2, 2026. Benchmark gold was quoted at ₹1,50,540 per 10 grams, while silver remained around ₹2,26,570 per kg.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold futures were trading 0.94% higher at ₹1,50,443 per 10 grams. Silver futures also gained 1.22%, reaching around ₹2,26,432 per kg at the time of writing.
In the retail market, 24-carat and 22-carat gold are the most commonly traded varieties. While 24K gold represents the highest purity, 22K gold is widely used for jewellery because the addition of other metals makes it more durable.

Joyalukkas and Malabar Gold & Diamonds were quoting 22K gold at ₹13,680 per gram across most states. Tanishq’s 22K gold rate stood at ₹13,725 per gram.
For 24K gold, Malabar Gold & Diamonds quoted ₹14,924 per gram, while Tanishq’s rate was ₹14,973 per gram.
