Sanghvi presented impressive statistics showcasing Gujarat's economic potential. Despite comprising only 5% of India's population, the state contributes over 8% to the national GDP. Gujarat accounts for 18% of the country’s total industrial output and is responsible for nearly one-third of India's total exports. Gujarat serves as the gateway to India, which in turn is the gateway to the world. Highlighting the existing ties between Japan and Gujarat, he noted that Suzuki, the bullet train project, and Japanese industrial parks demonstrate Japan's comfort in Gujarat. Looking ahead, Sanghvi outlined Gujarat's emerging role in cutting-edge sectors such as semiconductors, green energy, electric vehicles (EVs), and electronics.
