Mumbai property registrations projected to rise 11 pc, likely to touch 14-year high for Aug
Mumbai, Aug 31 (IANS) Property registrations in Mumbai’s Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) jurisdiction are projected to rise 11 per cent year-on-year (YoY) to 12,503 units in August 2026, marking the highest registration level for the month in more than 14 years, a report said on Monday.
The state government is expected to collect around Rs 1,123 crore in stamp duty during August, representing a 12 per cent YoY increase over the Rs 1,000 crore collected in the same month last year, according to an analysis by Knight Frank India of data from the Maharashtra Department of Registrations and Stamps.
