Aadhaar App: Manage Multiple Family Members’ Details from One Phone

What is the New Aadhaar App ?

Developed by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), the new Aadhaar app is designed to make Aadhaar-related services more convenient. It is available for Android and iPhone users and has been introduced as a replacement for the mAadhaar app.

One useful feature is selective information sharing. Users can choose to share only certain details, such as their address, instead of sharing the complete Aadhaar information.

How Many Aadhaar Profiles Can Be Added?

The app currently allows users to manage up to five Aadhaar profiles on one phone. This means you can keep your own Aadhaar profile along with those of eligible family members in one place.

It can be particularly useful when a family member needs their Aadhaar details while filling out a form or completing an Aadhaar-related process.

How to Add a Family Member's Aadhaar

Adding another Aadhaar profile can be done through the app in a few simple steps:

1. Open the new Aadhaar app on your phone.
2. Create your profile and add your Aadhaar details if you have not already done so.
3. Go to the profile section and select ' Add Aadhaar Profile '.
4. Enter the Aadhaar number of the family member you want to add.
5. An OTP will be sent to the mobile number linked with that Aadhaar.
6. Enter the OTP to complete verification.
7. Once verified, the family member's Aadhaar profile will be added to the app.
