4-hour block on Central Railway between Thane, Kalyan today; long-distance trains may be delayed
MUMBAI: A daytime block will be operated on the 5th and 6th lines of Central Railway between Thane and Kalyan for critical engineering and maintenance works .
There will be no block on Western Railway suburban lines today.
The four-hour block on CR will remain in effect from 9am to 1pm.
Passengers traveling on long-distance services should anticipate minor delays of 10 to 15 minutes.
Several key DOWN Mail and Express services, including the CSMT-Kolhapur Koyna Express and LTT-Gorakhpur Godan Express, will be diverted onto the DOWN Fast line between Thane and Kalyan.
Similarly, numerous UP Express and premium trains, such as the Solapur-CSMT Vande Bharat Express, Pune-CSMT Deccan Queen , and Howrah-CSMT Mumbai Mail, will be rerouted onto the UP Fast line, resulting in slight delays upon arrival.
On Western Railway, a block was undertaken during the intervening night of Saturday/Sunday, between Santacruz and Mahim stations for track, signalling and overhead equipment.
There will be no day block today.
