Admin to launch drive for 100% Abha card coverage
Patna : District magistrate Kundan Kumar on Tuesday directed officials to ensure 100% coverage of Abha ( Ayushman Bharat Health Account ) cards among citizens as part of a special campaign under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission . The initiative aims to facilitate the creation of digital health accounts and enable people to access and use their health records during treatment.
The DM directed officials to use multiple platforms, including PDS shops , Anganwadi centres , schools, Jeevika, ASHA workers and Sahaj Vasudha Kendras , to expand Abha coverage.
At PDS shops, beneficiaries coming to collect ration will be informed about Abha cards and assisted in creating them through the Abha app. PDS dealers have been asked to play an active role in the drive.
Anganwadi workers and helpers will facilitate Abha card creation during village health, sanitation and nutrition days and take-home ration days. The district education officer has been directed to facilitate Abha card creation for students in schools.
The campaign will also cover Jeevika Didis and their family members. Jeevika Didis and ASHA workers will undertake door-to-door outreach to inform residents about Abha and the digital health system.
The DM also directed Sahaj Vasudha Kendras to facilitate Abha card creation for citizens visiting Common Service Centres. Officials have been asked to regularly review the campaign and work in a coordinated, mission-mode manner.
