Police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) following a complaint from the girl's mother. Teams have been deployed to locate the accused, while the minor has been sent for a medical examination as part of the investigation.

According to details mentioned in the police complaint, the alleged incident took place at around 1.30 am on October 3. The accused is alleged to have entered the girl's house during the night and sexually assaulted her while threatening her with a firearm.

Mother Allegedly Threatened When She Tried to Help

The girl's mother reportedly heard her daughter's cries during the alleged incident. When she went to check what was happening, the accused allegedly threatened her and warned her against telling anyone about the incident.

Police said the accused subsequently fled from the area. The family later approached the authorities, following which the complaint was formally registered on October 5.

The incident has raised serious concerns about the safety of minors, particularly in rural areas where victims and their families can face fear and pressure after reporting crimes.

FIR Registered in Amethi

Ramganj Station House Officer (SHO) Ram Raj Kushwaha said an FIR had been registered on the basis of the complaint filed by the girl's mother.

The police have also initiated the necessary procedures in connection with the case. The minor has been sent for a medical examination, which forms an important part of the investigation in cases involving alleged sexual assault.

Police teams are currently working to trace the accused. Officers are checking available information and making efforts to locate him and bring him before the authorities.

Since the accused is reported to be below 18 years of age, the case will also involve the legal framework applicable to children in conflict with the law. The Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act provides a separate legal process for children accused of offences, with cases handled through the juvenile justice system.

Investigation Underway

The police investigation is expected to establish the sequence of events, verify the allegations and collect relevant evidence. Statements of the victim and witnesses will form an important part of the investigation, while medical findings and other available evidence will also be considered.

The alleged use of a firearm is another significant aspect of the case. Investigators will need to establish the circumstances surrounding the alleged threat and determine whether a weapon was actually used during the incident.

Police are continuing their search for the juvenile accused , who has reportedly been absconding since the alleged incident.

What Police Have Said So Far

According to SHO Ram Raj Kushwaha, the FIR was registered after the victim's mother submitted her complaint. He also confirmed that the girl was sent for a medical examination and that police teams were working to trace the accused.

Further legal action will follow as the investigation progresses.

The allegations have not yet been established in court, and the accused remains legally presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Since the case involves a minor survivor, her identity and other details that could reveal her identity should not be disclosed.

Case Highlights Need for Quick Action

Cases involving alleged sexual violence against children require prompt investigation and protection of the survivor. Indian law provides specific safeguards for child victims, including protections relating to their identity and procedures for recording statements and conducting investigations.

The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act is the principal law dealing with sexual offences against children in India. It provides a framework for dealing with sexual assault and related offences involving anyone below the age of 18.

In the Amethi case, police action is now focused on locating the accused and completing the investigation. The medical examination and collection of evidence will be important in determining the next steps.

Authorities have not indicated that the accused has been arrested so far. Police teams remain engaged in efforts to trace him, while further legal proceedings are expected once the investigation develops.
