Belthangady Police register murder case in 15-yo boy's death, probe intensified

The mysterious death of a boy from Odilnala has now been converted from an unnatural death case into a murder case, and police have intensified the investigation.

The incident was reported from Sambolya near Baramelu in Odilnala village of Kuvettu panchayat in Belthangady taluk. A Class 9 student, Sumanth (15), had left his house on Wednesday morning, January 14, to attend Dhanu pooja and later went missing.

After a search, his body was found mysteriously in a well. At the time, blood stains found in a nearby plantation and injury marks on the body had raised suspicion.
