Sharing his idea online, Pankaj revealed that he built a custom “screen-time dashboard” for his family. The setup tracks each member’s daily usage and displays it on a leaderboard. As of now, he leads the list with an average of 3.1 hours a day. The twist? Whoever logs the lowest screen time gets to choose the dinner menu for the entire week.

He also posted a snapshot of the “Tanwar House” leaderboard, showing himself in first place, followed by Deepu, his mother, and father. If the experiment continues to work well, Pankaj says he may even open-source the project and upload it to the Play Store.

Social media users loved his out-of-the-box approach. Many appreciated how he tackled a universal problem with creativity rather than confrontation.

“Lol, genius! how the tables have turned,” one user laughed.
Another pointed out, “Screen time has no relation with productivity.”
A third added, “Yeah I somewhat agree. but can't deny that fact that excessive usage is harmful.”

With such a simple yet smart idea, it’s no surprise the internet is cheering him on, and many families might soon try their own version of the challenge.
