Buxar admin releases RDO's pending salary, seeks BDO's explanation
Buxar : The district administration has released the pending salary of Rural Development Officer (RDO) Alpika Singh , who had recently staged a protest outside the Brahmpur block office with a begging bowl, alleging non-payment of her salary.
The administration has also sought an explanation from Brahmpur Block Development Officer (BDO) Sonu Kumar over the withholding of her salary.

According to a statement issued by the district public relations officer (DPRO), Alok Narayan Vats , on Wednesday, the matter came to light after reports circulated on social media and other platforms that the RDO had not received her salary for the past eight months.
The administration said withholding the salary of a govt employee without following prescribed procedures and obtaining approval from the competent authority was inappropriate. It has asked the BDO to clarify the grounds on which the salary was withheld and under whose authority the decision was taken.
At the same time, the administration will examine the BDO’s report regarding the RDO’s alleged unauthorised absence from duty. Further action will be taken in accordance with departmental rules after completion of the inquiry.
The district administration has also directed all officials and employees to strictly follow govt procedures and ensure that matters concerning employees and the public are handled with sensitivity, accountability and transparency.
