Decomposed & Naked Body of Bengal Woman Discovered in Bengaluru Flat; Father Figure Missing

A grim discovery unfolded in Bengaluru's Chandapura area as authorities stumbled upon a disturbing scene on Monday morning. A decomposed body, unclothed and belonging to a woman believed to be from West Bengal, was found in a third-floor room of a residential building. Adding to the shock, police uncovered drugs and a syringe at the scene.

Details surrounding the victim remain shrouded in mystery, with her identity yet to be confirmed definitively. However, initial investigations suggest she was approximately 25 years old and hailed from West Bengal. Authorities suspect she may have been subjected to sexual assault before her demise. An autopsy report is eagerly awaited to shed light on the circumstances surrounding her death and to ascertain if any sexual violence had occurred.

According to reports, the woman was last seen in the company of a man in his forties in the room where her body was discovered. “We couldn’t make out if there are any injuries on the body of the deceased as it was highly decomposed. The autopsy report will help determine the cause of death and whether there was any sexual assault,” stated a police official.

The residential building, owned by a software engineer named Sangeth Gupta, accommodates tenants on its upper floors. The landlord recalls renting out a single-bedroom flat and an adjacent room on the fourth floor to an individual identifying himself as Safan from Odisha. However, Safan vanished for a period until reappearing in January to pay rent and inform Gupta that his wife would be joining him shortly.

On February 28, Gupta made a startling discovery when she encountered a man in his forties and a woman in her twenties occupying the room rented by Safan. When questioned, Safan assured Gupta that they were a father-daughter duo known to him and would vacate the premises within three days.

However, the situation took a darker turn on March 10 when the Gupta couple noticed an open door and an unsettling odour emanating from the room. Upon investigation, they were confronted with the ghastly sight of the decomposing body, concealed under a blanket. The discovery prompted authorities to recover a white powder-like substance and a syringe from the scene, suspected to be synthetic drugs .

Authorities are now faced with the challenge of tracking down Safan and his associate, as their phones remain switched off. The lack of identity documentation collected from Safan adds another layer of complexity to the investigation. As authorities delve deeper into this harrowing case, unanswered questions linger, leaving the community gripped by a sense of unease and uncertainty.
