Delhi CM Urges Citizens to Light 'Aashirwad Ka Diya' on PM Modi's Birthday

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has called upon the people of the national capital to participate in the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ initiative on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on September 17. She appealed to every family in Delhi to light a ceremonial earthen lamp between 6 PM and 7 PM as a symbolic expression of blessings and goodwill.

The Chief Minister urged citizens to offer prayers for the Prime Minister’s good health, long life, and continued strength in serving the nation and Maa Bharati. She said the initiative is intended to bring together families across Delhi in a collective expression of gratitude and best wishes through a simple yet meaningful act rooted in Indian tradition.

Gupta emphasized that the lighting of the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ reflects the values of service, unity, and public participation. She said the campaign encourages citizens to come together in the spirit of national service while reaffirming their commitment to the country's progress and development.

According to the Chief Minister, every household can become a part of the initiative by lighting a lamp during the designated hour, symbolizing hope, positivity, and collective resolve.
