Emma Bridgewater 'lovely' Christmas mugs are now 30% cheaper but deal ends tonight
With Black Friday on the horizon, it feels like every brand out there is slashing prices, making it the perfect time to shop for Christmas gifts and stocking fillers. British homeware label Emma Bridgewater has been teasing a range of early deals ahead of Friday, and for today only, customers can snap up 30% off a selection of its festive half-pint mugs, taking them each from £26 to £18.20. The brand has also reduced the price of Christmassy small mugs, too, taking them from £20 to £14.
There's a mix of wintry illustrations in the usual sweet and kitsch style: polar bears, robins, ice skaters - alongside a couple of the more classic patterns that are versatile enough to sit comfortably in any kitchen. However, the discount only applies to a handful; it makes them a bit more accessible than usual.
Anyone who has browsed the site knows that prices can creep up, so a small drop is always welcome.
The mugs tend to be popular because they hit a nice middle ground: they feel thoughtful but not extravagant, and they're the sort of present people actually use rather than politely shelve. A half-pint mug filled with teabags or a bit of chocolate is an easy teacher gift, neighbour gift, or something to hand over at a Secret Santa draw when you don't want to guess their clothing size or skincare preferences.
It also helps that the festive designs are very subtle. Even if you're not someone who goes all-in on Christmas decor, the seasonal mugs have a charm without feeling too much of a novelty. They're sturdy, and they wash well (including being dishwasher safe).
One shopper who has purchased the polar bear mug said: "Lovely polar bear design which we be used as part of a Christmas present."
Another person said: "I love birds and these wee robins are so lovely in their snow globes. Brill design!" However, one downside from people was that not all the designs had matching items. One customer said: "Love the fun design. It matches the colours from previous Christmas items, so it looks great all together. I only wish that there was a 10.5 dinner plate in the same pattern."
What's useful about this particular offer is that it's straightforward. There are no codes, no newsletter sign-ups - just a temporary price drop that will expire quickly.
However, if you want one, today's the day to shop as the price drops will expire tonight. But, if you do miss it, though, don't panic. It's definitely worth checking back on the Emma Bridgewater website on Black Friday (November 28, 2025), as there are plenty more deals still to come.
