Forest tracker injured in lioness attack in Amreli

Rajkot: A forest tracker was injured after being attacked by a lioness during a routine monitoring exercise on the banks of the Shetrunji river near Chandgadh village in Amreli district on Saturday.

According to assistant conservator of forests (ACF) Rajan Jadhav , the incident occurred in the presence of a forest department team that was monitoring the movement of the lioness after receiving information that it had crossed the river and entered the forest area.
