Govt accepts key demands, teacher aspirants call off stir

Patna : State govt on Thursday agreed to conduct the Teacher Recruitment Examination (TRE-4) in a single phase, leading to the end of the ongoing agitation by teacher aspirants. The preliminary test (PT) and Mains examinations have been removed from TRE-4, while the govt has also agreed to the demand of ‘One Candidate, One Result’.

Education department secretary Rajiv Raushan was among those who offered juice to teacher aspirants Aman Yadav and Jahnavi Kumari, ending their 10-day hunger strike at Gardanibagh on Thursday.
