Haryana Congress, INDIA bloc announce statewide protests
Chandigarh: The Haryana Congress will hold district-level protest marches across the state on Oct 8 as part of its ‘Save Vote, Save Nation’ campaign, with senior functionaries and INDIA bloc partners being mobilised across all 22 districts, said AICC Haryana in-charge Sanjay Dutt on Sunday.
The campaign, being held from Oct 2 to 8 as part of ‘ Save Democracy Week ’, will focus on allegations of voter-list manipulation and “vote theft”. The protests will culminate at Ambedkar or Mahatma Gandhi statues, or district deputy commissioner offices.

Dutt said senior functionaries had been assigned district-wise observer roles to oversee coordination meetings, media outreach and street demonstrations. He said discussions had been held with state-level leaders of INDIA partners and a meeting of all alliance parties would be held at the HPCC headquarters in Chandigarh on Oct 7.
According to the schedule released by HPCC president Rao Narendra Singh , joint district-level coordination meetings and press conferences will be held on Oct 6, followed by block-level preparatory meetings on Oct 7.
Dutt will monitor key operations, while Rao Narendra Singh will oversee Ambala, leader of opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda Hisar, AICC general secretary Kumari Selja Sonipat, CWC permanent member Deepender Singh Hooda Hisar, and former HPCC chiefs Birender Singh, Ashok Tanwar and Udai Bhan will oversee Sirsa, Nuh and Rohtak, respectively.
