HM shunted out after girls consume liquor at school
Madurai: The headmistress of a govt higher secondary school in Thuckalay in Kanyakumari district has been transferred after two girl students were seen consuming alcohol on the school premises.
District collector M Prathap told TOI that the incident happened on a non-working day (Saturday) when a special class was conducted. There was no teacher present and the headmistress did not come to school either. “Incident happened at the time the school was over. However, we have initiated a departmental proceeding against her,” he said.
