Juni Ghadi Ganesh immersion passes off peacefully

Vadodara: The Juni Ghadi Ganesh immersion procession passed off peacefully in the old city area on Sunday. The procession passed through communally sensitive areas . Hundreds of policemen and a company of state reserve police (SRP) were deployed on the route to ensure that no untoward incident occurred.

Police officials had conducted a flag march and also held meetings with local community leaders ahead of the Ganesh immersion procession.Cops block some internal lanes and install additional lights on the procession routes, which are constantly monitored by CCTVs and drones . Hundreds of Ganesh idols were immersed in the 11 artificial lakes in the city on Sunday.
