Lokayukta raids four locations linked to HESCOM AEE over disproportionate assets allegation

Hubballi: Lokayukta officials conducted simultaneous raids early Tuesday (September 22) at the residence and office of HESCOM Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) Kiran Kumar Baindur, as well as the office of his wife and the residence of his brother, following allegations that he possessed assets disproportionate to his known income.

The raids were carried out at four locations, including Kiran Kumar’s residence near Tholanakere in the Akshaya Colony area of Vidyanagar, his HESCOM office in Tabibland, the office of his wife, HESCOM AEE Preethi Baindur, in Gopankoppa, and his brother’s residence near Dharwad Degree College.

Officials, working in separate teams under the leadership of Dharwad Lokayukta SP Siddalingappa S.T, are examining documents and records at the locations.
