The Maharashtra government has set November 18, 2025, as the final date for completing e-KYC verification for all beneficiaries. This step is mandatory to continue receiving the monthly financial assistance.

According to the September 18, 2025 circular, “In accordance with Section 7 of the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016, a notification dated 01.08.2024 has been issued regarding the scheme.” The notification also states, “A person eligible for benefits under the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin scheme must furnish proof of Aadhaar number or undergo Aadhaar authentication.”

The Women and Child Development Department is designated by UIDAI as a Sub-AUA/Sub-KUA, enabling e-KYC-based Aadhaar authentication. The scheme’s portal now includes an e-KYC feature for smooth verification.
