Maharashtra seeks Centre's financial support for Mumbai-Vadhavan Expressway connectivity

A request for financial assistance for the proposed Mumbai-Vadhavan Expressway connectivity project, including the Uttan-Virar Sea Link, was raised during a meeting with Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in New Delhi.

The project is being positioned as an important connectivity initiative for Maharashtra, with the proposed sea link expected to strengthen road connectivity between key areas of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and the wider Vadhavan corridor.
