Man City 115 charges update before FA Cup final and Premier League season ends
The Premier League title race between Arsenal and Manchester City has unfolded against the backdrop of one of the challengers still awaiting the verdict of a significant investigation. City are accused of breaching Financial Fair Play regulations between 2009 and 2018.
Originally, 115 violations were alleged, though that figure has reportedly climbed even higher, now reaching 130. The proceedings commenced in September 2024 and a conclusion nearly two years on has yet to materialise. Some had thought that a verdict this season might leave the Gunners with an asterisk beside their name, should their principal rivals hypothetically receive a sporting sanction, such as a points deduction.

What will come as a relief to those concerned is the assessment of financial expert Stefan Borson, who featured on talkSPORT this week. Speaking on the White and Jordan show, Borson said: "I think it's coming quite soon, but then we have said that before, right?
"My best guess and the kind of feeling in the parties is that it will come at the end of the season - June would be most likely, that's the feeling.
"There's no justification now from a kind of how long it takes to write this up, there's no justification now.
"This is now ridiculous territory. 18 months to write up a decision in a private arbitration is clearly ridiculous.
"There've been little things that I've heard that would signify that we are coming to the end of the process of writing it up."

This would suggest, consequently, that Arsenal could secure the title and their supporters can relax and wait for the verdict.
Safe in the knowledge that whatever transpires, any consequences would come after they had successfully overcome Pep Guardiola's side, regardless of any subsequent ruling.
