NIA Makes Major Breakthrough: Suspect Detained in Bengaluru Rameshwaram Café Blast Case
Amidst heightened tensions following the Bengaluru Rameshwaram Café blast earlier this month, the National Investigation Agency ( NIA ) has achieved a significant breakthrough. Reports streaming in from TV channels affirm that a suspect linked to the tragic incident has been apprehended. Identified as Shabbir, the detainee was located in Ballari, a city nestled in the heart of Karnataka.
The blast, which rocked the renowned Rameshwaram café in Whitefield on March 1, left a grim toll of nine individuals wounded. Taking charge of the investigation, the NIA assumed control of the case last week under the directive of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
In a strategic move to garner public assistance, the federal agency disseminated several visuals capturing the suspect's movements across different bus routes over the past few days.
Piecing together the suspect's trail, NIA investigators unveiled a crucial aspect of his journey. It emerged that before making his way to Pune, the perpetrator had ventured to Ballari. Although the specifics of his transit to the Maharashtra city remained shrouded in mystery, surveillance footage revealed his presence on a bus bound for Gokarna in Karnataka on the night of March 1.
In a bid to accelerate leads and solicit cooperation from the public, the NIA issued a bounty of ₹10 lakh for any information leading to the apprehension of the suspect involved in the Bengaluru café blast, underscoring the gravity of the situation.
