Nov 9 declared public holiday in Puducherry

PUDUCHERRY : The Puducherry govt has declared Nov 9 a public holiday for all govt offices, public sector undertakings, boards, educational institutions including professional colleges, and banking institutions including cooperative banks across all regions of the Union territory on account of Diwali .

According to an official notification issued by undersecretary (home) M V Hiran, Nov 21 will be a compensatory working day across all regions.
