Popular crisps pulled from shelves as 'do not eat' warning issued
A warning has been issued to anyone who has purchased two types of crisps. The Food Standards Agency has urged people not to eat the items as they pose a possible health risk.
Calbee Hot & Spicy Chips and Calbee Pizza Chips have both been recalled by the manufacturer, Calbee Group UK. The potato chips contain ingredients which were undeclared. This can pose a health risk to those with allergies. The Calbee Hot & Spicy Chips contain mustard and the Calbee Pizza Chips contain celery, making them a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to each of those ingredients.
Following the announcement, the FSA said: "If you have bought the above products and have an allergy to mustard or celery, do not eat them. Instead return them to the store from where they were bought for a full refund.

The recall over Calbee Hot & Spicy Chips refers to both the 55g sized bag and 105g. It includes products will all best before dates up to and including June 5, 2026.
The Calbee Pizza Chips recall is for the 55g bag and all dates up to and including April 28, 2026.
Calbee UK said: "We take the integrity of our products very seriously and although the risk to consumers is relatively low, we are taking precaution of recalling the above products and alerting our customers and the relevant allergy support organisations."
Earlier in the week Aldi issued a food recall over a popular Christmas snack. They pulled its Dairyfine Salted Caramel Filled Gonks from the shelves due to a possible health risk.
The FSA said this was because it "may contain peanuts which are not mentioned on the label", making it "a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to peanuts". Affected products have a packet size of 90g and a batch code of 4061463276865.
Customers can return the chocolates to their nearest Aldi store, regardless of their best-before date, for a full refund.
