In a subsequent development, Salman Maulvi's brother, Safuan Maulvi, was also apprehended in connection with the ghastly crime. Authorities have identified Salman as the primary suspect and are actively probing the potential involvement of other family members in this egregious offence, as confirmed by senior Badlapur police officer, Govind Patil.
