Soham Chakraborty faces police complaint for alleged assault over dues
Kolkata: Actor and former MLA Soham Chakraborty has landed in fresh controversy after a carpenter lodged a complaint against him and his team, alleging assault, intimidation and phone snatching .
Raj Kapoor Sharma approached Behala Police Station alleging that he was assaulted after demanding payment for custom-made wooden furniture he had made for Chakraborty’s residence. According to police sources, Sharma had been working on the project for around one-and-a-half months after receiving an advance of Rs 30,000. With the work nearing completion, he sought payment of the remaining Rs 79,000, but alleged that the dues were repeatedly delayed.
