Shared on X (formerly Twitter) by the handle WokePandemic, the post titled “Gems Of Railways Man taking bath in a train” has already crossed 2.6 lakh views. While some netizens expressed disbelief, many slammed the act as a desperate attempt to chase fame at the cost of public decency.

The incident reportedly took place on a train at Veerangana Lakshmibai Jhansi station. Soon after the clip went viral, the North Central Railway stepped in. In an official statement, it confirmed that the man had been identified and confessed that the stunt was staged purely to gain online popularity.

"The identity of the individual who made a video of bathing inside a train at Veerangana Lakshmibai Jhansi station has been ascertained. It has been admitted by this individual that such an act was done to gain popularity by creating a reel. Legal action is being taken against the aforementioned individual by the RPF. North Central Railway requests all passengers not to engage in any such act that is inappropriate and also inconvenient for other passengers," stated the official response from the North Central Railway.

Legal action has since been taken by the Railway Protection Force (RPF). The North Central Railway also urged passengers not to engage in such inappropriate acts that disturb others and tarnish public property.

While the video sparked laughter among some, most netizens called out the behavior as embarrassing and irresponsible. One user wrote, “What other travelers will see is dirty water on the floor and blame the GOI for not maintaining cleanliness, some might even create videos of the mess for clicks. Next time when you see dirt outside remember it is not always the govt to be blamed, many times it's us.” Another added, “What other travelers will see is dirty water on the floor and blame the GOI for not maintaining cleanliness, some might even create videos of the mess for clicks.
