YouTuber Santosh Pandit detained for defamatory video against Maharashtra minister Chandrakant Patil

PUNE: Deccan Gymkhana police detained social media influencer and YouTuber Santosh Pandit in the early hours of Wednesday in connection with a defamation case registered over a video in which he allegedly used abusive and derogatory language against Maharashtra cabinet minister Chandrakant Patil .

Pandit was detained from his residence around 1am on Thrusday. The action came days after a complaint was lodged against him by Pune corporator Sunil Pande, a close associate of the minister.
