Hardik Pandya Finds Unexpected Backing From MI Camp During IPL 2026 Turmoil
The IPL 2026 playoff race has ended for Mumbai Indians because of their unsuccessful season. The upcoming match against Punjab Kings was supported by a player who helped captain Hardik Pandya despite facing destructive criticism.
Pandya as captain received the majority of the blame for MI's unsuccessful season which resulted in the team winning only three matches out of their eleven games. Fans who experienced frustration demanded his dismissal while social media platforms became a blame-sharing environment.
Hardik Pandya missed the last two matches because of recurring back spasms including MI's heavy loss to RCB which became the match that officially ended their playoff hopes.
Mumbai Indians all-rounder Corbin Bosch stated that the team has experienced a loss of crucial leadership and all-round abilities since Hardik Pandya's absence.
Bosch commented the press: "It's obviously been tough. Hardik is not only a leader but a fantastic cricketer as well. We've missed his presence when it comes to the on-field stuff. I'm sure the people that are making decisions and the people that are looking after him are trying to do the best for him and for the team itself.”
The South African all-rounder identified MI's primary problem for this season as their inability to execute a complete team performance.
He continued: "We just have not put together a complete game. One day it’s been the bowlers who would do well and the batters struggle a little bit, or the (next day) the batters do well, and the bowlers struggle.”
The Mumbai Indians traveled to Dharamsala without Hardik Pandya because they need to prepare for their Thursday match against the Punjab Kings. He remains in Mumbai to continue his treatment for the back problem.
The captain undergoes evaluation by the Mumbai medical team while his status for upcoming games remains unknown according to reports.
The Mumbai Indians have been eliminated from playoff contention. They will now attempt to reclaim their dignity through a victory that will create positive memories for players and fans.
The social media platform witnessed rapid spread of rumors about Hardik Pandya and Mumbai Indians management because the team experienced a disappointing IPL 2026 season.

According to reports Hardik Pandya might be traded before next season because he is currently negotiating with multiple teams. He had earlier moved from Gujarat Titans to Mumbai Indians in an all-cash deal.
The current situation lacks any official confirmation. The Mumbai Indians organization uses Hardik Pandya as their main representative whose release would require the team to make a major decision. The captain continues to support his team at this moment.
