AP LAWCET, PGLCET 2026 counselling registration begins: Check key dates, eligibility, steps to apply
The Commissionerate of Higher Education, Andhra Pradesh, has started the Andhra Pradesh Law Common Entrance Test (AP LAWCET) and AP Post Graduate Law Common Entrance Test (AP PGLCET) 2026 counselling registration. Candidates who qualified the entrance tests can register for admission to three-year and five-year LLB and LLM programmes for the 2026-27 academic session.
The counselling process is being conducted through the Common Admissions Portal (CAP) at cets.apsche.ap.gov.in. Candidates can register for the Phase 1 counselling process from September 24 to September 29, 2026.
AP LAWCET, PGLCET 2026 counselling: Eligibility
For admission to the three-year LLB programme, candidates must hold a degree or equivalent qualification. The minimum qualifying marks are 45% for Open Category (OC), 42% for Backward Classes (BC) and 40% for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates.
For the five-year LLB programme, candidates must have passed Intermediate or an equivalent examination. The minimum marks required are 45% for OC, 42% for BC and 40% for SC and ST candidates.
The AP LAWCET 2026 rank will be considered for admission to the LLB programmes.
For admission to LLM programmes, candidates must have a three-year or five-year LLB degree and qualify through the AP PGLCET 2026 rank.
Candidates can use a single AP LAWCET and PGLCET registration for one or multiple eligible programmes. However, a separate fee will have to be paid for each test code.

AP LAWCET, PGLCET 2026 counselling: How to register
Candidates can follow these steps to complete their counselling registration:
Visit the official AP LAWCET/PGLCET counselling portal. Click on the AP LAWCET/PGLCET Admissions registration link. Enter the required basic details and Aadhaar-based authentication details. Upload the required certificates and documents in PDF format. Pay the counselling processing fee. Submit the registration form.
Candidates should complete the registration process within the given deadline and keep a copy of the submitted application for future reference.
Counselling fee
Candidates have to pay the processing fee while submitting their AP LAWCET and PGLCET counselling application.
The fee is ₹550 for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates. Candidates belonging to other categories have to pay ₹1,050.
The fee can be paid through UPI, Internet banking, debit card or net banking.
After registration and certificate verification, eligible candidates will be able to exercise their web options between September 29 and October 2. The seat allotment result will be released on October 6, followed by reporting at the allotted college from October 7 to 9, 2026.
