IGIMS Patna Announces Walk-In Interviews for Senior Resident Positions in Ophthalmology

Patna, September 8 (Daily Kiran) : The Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS) in Patna has issued a notification for the recruitment of Senior Residents in its Ophthalmology department on an ad-hoc basis. A total of ten positions are available, including one for General category, three for EBC, one for BC, two for SC, one for EWS, one for WBC, and one for ST.Candidates will be selected based on a walk-in interview and document verification. The salary for the selected individuals will adhere to IGIMS Patna's pay scale regulations. To be eligible for the interview, candidates must possess medical qualifications listed in Schedule I and II of the NMC Act, along with an MD/MS in Ophthalmology recognized by the NMC. Additionally, candidates must be registered with the Central or State Medical Council. The maximum age limit for applicants is set at 45 years, calculated as of September 12, 2026.Relaxation in the age limit will be provided for candidates from reserved categories as per applicable rules. The walk-in interview will take place on September 12, starting at 10 AM at the Office Chamber of the Chief RIO, New RIO Building, IGIMS, Patna-14. Candidates are required to report to the venue between 9 AM and 9:45 AM.
