NEET UG counselling 2025 : The Medical Counselling Committee ( MCC ) has once again extended the deadline for choice filling and locking for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate ( NEET UG ) 2025 stray vacancy round. This extension comes after the release of the final seat matrix, which revealed 1,232 Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) seats remaining vacant under the All India Quota (AIQ) following several seat additions and reductions across medical colleges.

New choice filling and locking schedule
As per the latest notification, the Choice Filling for the Stray Round of UG counselling 2025 has been extended up to 11:55 pm on November 13, 2025. The Choice Locking facility will be activated at 5 pm on November 13, 2025, and will remain available until 11:55 pm on the same day. Candidates can complete the process through the official website at mcc.nic.in.
PwD certificate generation deadline extended earlier
Earlier, in line with the revised counselling timeline, the MCC had extended the deadline for generating Persons with Disability (PwD) certificates through the designated portal. Candidates seeking admission under the PwD category were allowed to obtain their certificates from MCC-authorised disability centres until 5 pm on November 12, 2025, in accordance with the National Medical Commission (NMC) norms.
Allotment results likely to be delayed
Due to the extended choice filling window, the NEET UG stray vacancy allotment results, originally expected to be released on November 12, are likely to be published on a later date. The MCC has also made available the list of candidates admitted up to round three on its official website for reference.
Instructions for NRI candidates
Candidates applying under the Non-Resident Indian (NRI) category were instructed to submit their relevant documents via email at ug.nri.mcc@gmail.com by 2 pm on November 11, 2025. MCC has reiterated that fresh registration and choice filling are mandatory for all participants in the stray vacancy round.
