The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released information regarding the exam city and admit cards for candidates appearing in the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2026 (Tier-1). Candidates can view their exam city by logging in to the official SSC website. Admit cards will be available for download approximately 2–3 days prior to the exam date.
According to a notice issued by the Commission on September 12, 2026, the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2026 (Tier-1) will be conducted from September 30 to October 30, 2026.
**New Registration Mandatory for Scribe Facility**
The Commission has stated that candidates wishing to avail the 'Own Scribe' facility must adhere to the new procedure regarding scribes. All scribe registrations made prior to November 5, 2025, have been cancelled; therefore, it is mandatory for all individuals acting as scribes to complete a new registration.
Scribe registration has now been linked to Aadhaar authentication. Consequently, both the scribe and the candidate must complete the new registration process.
**OTR Mapping Available Until September 24**
According to the SSC, candidates who have selected their own scribe must submit the scribe's registration number to complete OTR (One-Time Registration) mapping. Candidates can map their scribe's OTR until 11:00 PM on September 24, 2026. The Commission will issue scribe entry passes only to those candidates who have successfully completed the OTR mapping within the stipulated timeframe.
The Commission has also clarified that the maximum age limit for individuals acting as scribes will be determined in accordance with the updated policy issued on November 4, 2025.
