UPPSC RO/ARO mains exam 2026 : The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission ( UPPSC ) has announced the schedule for the Review Officer (RO) and Assistant Review Officer (ARO) Mains Examination 2023. As per the official notification, the examination will be conducted on January 31 and February 1, 2026.
According to the commission, the first paper (General Studies) will be held on January 31, 2026, from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. The second paper, which will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm, will consist of two parts: a subjective test in General Hindi and Essay Writing from 2 pm to 4:30 pm, followed by an objective test on General Vocabulary and Grammar from 4:30 pm to 5 pm.

On February 1, candidates will appear for the Hindi Essay paper from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, UPPSC Deputy Secretary Virendra Mani Tripathi confirmed.

Earlier, the RO/ARO Preliminary examination 2023 was held on July 27, 2025, and the results were declared on September 16, 2025. A total of 7,509 candidates qualified for the Mains stage.

In total, 10,76,004 candidates had applied for the examination, while 4,54,589 candidates appeared in the Preliminary test.
