UPTET 2026 result link removed from UPESSC portal after complaints over marks and OMR evaluation
UPTET 2026 result: The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission ( UPESSC ) has removed the download link for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026 result from its official portal after candidates raised complaints about OMR evaluation and discrepancies in marks. The result had been released on August 26, 2026.
The development affects more than 19 lakh candidates who appeared for the examination. The result link was removed from the UPESSC portal on September 4, 2026, after complaints continued to emerge over scorecards and the status shown for thousands of candidates.

Why UPESSC removed the UPTET result link
Approximately 60,000 candidates reportedly found their result status marked as "Rejected". According to the Commission, the evaluation software could not process their OMR sheets because incorrect details, including roll numbers, question paper codes or booklet series, had been entered in the designated fields.
Candidates, however, raised objections over the large number of rejected results. Several also reported differences between marks calculated using the provisional and final answer keys and the marks displayed on their scorecards. Some candidates who calculated scores above the cut-off said their scorecards showed considerably lower marks and a "Fail" status.
Five-member committee to examine complaints
Following the grievances, UPESSC constituted a five-member inquiry committee to examine technical and evaluation-related issues. The committee will review candidates' representations, OMR sheets and data generated through the online evaluation software.
The panel will also examine the answer sheets and the online assessment process to determine whether discrepancies occurred during evaluation. After completing its review, the committee will submit a report to the Commission. Corrections will be made if discrepancies are established.
Candidates can submit objections
UPESSC has provided affected candidates an opportunity to submit representations with supporting evidence. Objections can be submitted until September 10, 2026.
Candidates seeking review are required to provide relevant evidence supporting their complaints so that the committee can examine the issues raised against the released result.
Will UPTET 2026 result be released again?
A revised UPTET 2026 result could be issued after the inquiry, according to indications cited in the information released following the complaints. However, UPESSC has not issued an official notice confirming a revised result so far.
Candidates should continue checking the official UPESSC portal, upessc.up.gov.in, for further announcements concerning the inquiry, representations and the UPTET 2026 result.
