In the movie, Bhumi portrayed the character of Suman Singh, a 31-year-old physical education teacher, who harbors feelings for women. To evade familial pressure, she enters into a marriage with Shardul Thakur , a cop played by Rajkummar Rao . However, the plot takes an unexpected turn when Rajkummar's character discloses that he too identifies as homosexual, adding a unique twist to the narrative.

Harshvardhan Kulkarni directs 'Badhaai Do,' which serves as a sequel to the National Award-winning film 'Badhaai Ho.' The original starred Ayushmann Khurrana, Neena Gupta, and Sanya Malhotra in pivotal roles.


Bhumi is currently garnering acclaim for her role in 'Bhakshak.' Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, the film delves into the story of a determined woman's fight for justice. In 'Bhakshak,' Bhumi portrays a character investigating a case involving the sexual assault of children at a girls' shelter home, showcasing her versatility and depth as an actress.
