Diljit Dosanjh Brings Bhangra Energy to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon 2026, Promotes ‘Aura’

Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh returned to 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon ' after two years. He first appeared on the show in 2024, where he performed "G.O.A.T” as a musical guest. Now, in 2026, Diljit made his comeback on this episode that aired on 27 April, this time as a full talk-show guest to promote his new album, Aura.

The clip opens with a member of Dosanjh’s team pushing open the studio door and saying, “Kya lagta tha nahi lautenge?”. The camera then cuts to Diljit, who says, “Kaha tha na ke ek baar Punjabi aa jayein toh chethi nahi jaate. Jimmy Fallon aa gaye oye”. After delivering his line, he breaks into bhangra inside the studio, turning his entrance into a lively and grand moment

Ahead of this episode, Diljit Dosanjh gave fans a sneak peak on Instagram by sharing a clip of himself teaching Jimmy Fallon a few bhangra moves. The video also showed Diljit teaching Jimmy some Punjabi phrases. Jimmy tried his best to say the singer’s iconic catchphrase, “Punjabi Aa Gaye Oye”, sparking laughter with his amusing delivery. However, he impressed Diljit Dosanjh with his smooth pronunciation of the Punjabi greeting “Sat Sri Akal”. Dosanjh also performed his track ‘Morni’ on the show. Another highlight was Jimmy surprising Diljit, who is often seen wearing black gloves during his performances - with a custom pair of white gloves featuring The Tonight Show logo.

About ‘Aura’ Album


Diljit came to the show to promote his new album, ‘Aura’, which was originally released in October 2025. He named this album ‘Aura’ because that’s the word fans often use to describe his stage presence. Speaking candidly about his album, he said, “The album’s vibe is sexy, I am sexy. It’s sexy songs for sexy dance.”


‘Aura’ is a 10-track album which blends romantic themes, bold visuals, and confident self-expression. Marking Diljit’s 15th studio album, it became a global sensation this year. The tracklist features Señorita, Kufar, You & Me, Charmer, Ban, Balle Balle, Gunda, Mahiya, Broken Soul, and God Bless.
