Hrithik Roshan Guarantees A Thrilling Experience In War 2, Says ‘My Challenge Is To Show Kabir…’
Hrithik Roshan is presently reveling in the triumph of his latest cinematic venture, ' Fighter .' This exhilarating aerial action thriller features the dynamic trio of Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor. In an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, Hrithik shared insights into his character Kabir from the upcoming War 2 , assuring fans that his role will be infused with even more excitement. It's worth mentioning that War, a blockbuster hit, ranked among the highest-grossing films and featured Tiger Shroff in the lead role.
In a conversation with Pinkvilla, the actor from 'Fighter,' responding to questions about his intriguing and more ominous portrayal of Kabir in War 2, expressed, “Kabir has definitely left a mark. And getting into Kabir’s boots is going to be fun because this time, my challenge is to show Kabir in a different light. A different aspect of him which is going to be interesting”.
'War 2' serves as the sixth installment in the YRF Spy Universe, a cinematic realm that includes earlier productions such as 'Ek Tha Tiger' (2012), 'Tiger Zinda Hai' (2017), 'War' (2019), 'Pathaan' (2022), and the upcoming 'Tiger 3' (2023). Building on the narrative established in Tiger 3, the film will pave the way for the much-anticipated face-off between Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan in the cinematic clash titled Tiger v/s Pathaan. Notably, War, featuring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff, made its debut in 2019, emerging as the highest-grossing film of that year in India. With earnings exceeding Rs 300 crore, it achieved blockbuster status at the box office.
'War 2' will see Jr NTR taking on the role of an antagonist, with Hrithik Roshan returning to portray his character, Kabir. According to a December report by Pinkvilla, production for the film is scheduled to commence in February 2024.
Discussing 'Fighter,' director Siddharth Anand has shared insights into his intentions for its sequel in a conversation with Pinkvilla. He remarked, “Yeah, that audience will decide. Abhi dekhte hain abhi 3 hi din hue hain (We’ll see. It’s been just three days since the film release). I think audience ka pyaar (love) will decide what we will do, and we would love to make Fighter 2 a larger story. We have some great ideas that we want to put it down to”.
