Munawar Faruqui Breaks Silence on 'Womaniser' Accusations: 'Main Agar Unko Pehle Se Better...'
During Munawar Faruqui 's tenure in the Bigg Boss 17 house, he faced numerous accusations, including being labeled a 'womanizer.' Following his victory on Salman Khan's show, Munawar addressed these allegations in a recent interview, pondering whether he grapples with commitment phobia or a tendency to distance himself as others grow closer.
“I am quite focused and sorted in many aspects of my life. However, mentally and in terms of relationships, the past year didn’t go well for me. It was probably around that time that I had to enter the Bigg Boss house. Timeline ki wajah se thodi cheezein hui. Main agar unko pehle se better rakhta ya handle kar leta… par maine kahiin na kahiin unn cheezon ko time diya thinking those would eventually sort out. You are right in saying that proving closure is essential. I do feel I couldn’t handle them as well as my responsibility demanded. I will definitely work on improving this aspect of myself,” Munawar shared with E-Times.
However, the Bigg Boss 17 winner also made it clear that he isn’t a womaniser. Munawar argued that he has collaborated with women in the past for several projects and therefore argued that he does not agree with such labels being put on him. “It’s not like that. I have collaborated with many women professionally, and they can vouch for how comfortable I made them feel and I treated them with great respect. I am not like what I am made out to be. It’s just the one girl that everyone knows about. I don’t agree with these labels, and my future actions will certainly disappoint those who are expressing hate,” he further added.
During Munawar Faruqui's stint on Bigg Boss 17, his fans were taken aback when Ayesha Khan asserted that he was involved in a double dating scenario with her and Nazila. Subsequently, Nazila, through a video statement, expressed her unawareness of Munawar's relationship with Ayesha. Nazila clarified her disassociation from the stand-up comedian, emphasizing that several other girls were also allegedly involved. In a later episode, Ayesha escalated the situation by making another serious accusation, alleging that Munawar had proposed marriage to a social media influencer prior to entering Bigg Boss 17.
