Prabhas And Disha Patani To Shoot A Song For 'Kalki 2898 AD' In Italy
Director Nag Ashwin's film ' Kalki 2898 AD ,' starring Prabhas and Deepika Padukone , is approaching its final stages of production. Scheduled for release on May 9th, the movie will feature Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani in prominent roles.
Prabhas and Disha are shooting in Italy
The film's producers, Vyjayanthi Movies, took to Instagram and Twitter to share an update with fans. Sharing a group picture featuring Prabhas posing with Nag and the rest of the film’s crew, the makers wrote, “Italy lo aata paata. (Song and dance in Italy)” In the image, Prabhas and the team are all smiles as they embark on their Italian adventure. In another snapshot captioned, “A Darling Pic. Italy diaries ft. #Prabhas & @DishPatani, (sic)” Disha is seen capturing a picture of Prabhas as he poses for her.
The film's shoot and post-production are underway simultaneously to meet the deadline. The majority of the filming has been completed, with only a few songs and patchwork scenes remaining. Deepika recently shared news of her pregnancy and has also finished filming her parts for the movie. Amitabh sustained an injury while performing a stunt for the film in March last year but returned to the sets as soon as he recuperated. He disclosed in a blog post at the time that he had suffered a broken rib cartilage and a muscle tear. Kamal Haasan joined the film's team in June last year.

Speaking about the film during the Synapse 2024 event in Gurgaon, Nag Ashwin remarked, “The film starts with Mahabharat and ends in 2898 AD. It spans 6000 years in time. We tried to create worlds, imagining what they would be like while still keeping it Indian, and not make it look like Blade Runner. 6000 years behind 2898 AD is 3101 BCE, which is when the last avatar of Krishna is believed to have passed.”
