An Air India flight, which had been travelling from Frankfurt, Germany, to New Delhi, was diverted to Jaipur on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, after receiving a security alert. The flight, AI 2030, landed safely at Jaipur International Airport, where security agencies began to inspect the aircraft. The initial reports on the incident referred to a possible bomb threat, while subsequent reports suggested the alert may have involved a suspected hijacking.

The flight, which was being operated using a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, was diverted from its original route to Delhi after the security alert was reported. The plane landed at the Jaipur airport at approximately 9:35 am, carrying 306 passengers. The airport officials reported that all the passengers landed safely.

After the landing, the aircraft was then moved to an isolation bay to allow the security checks to be conducted. Teams from the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), local police and the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) were reported to have inspected the aircraft and the passengers’ luggage as part of the security response.

The passengers were deboarded under the supervision of the listed security agencies and were taken to the terminal building. Officials reported to them that the situation was under control, while arrangements for passengers to reach their intended destinations were being made.

However, the reports made over the incident have differed in discussing the nature of the alert. While the initial coverage described a possible bomb threat, there was reportedlyan airport source who described the incident involving a hijacking rumour rather than a confirmed bomb threat.

“It was a hijacking rumour, not a bomb threat. It’s too early to comment officially on the matter. An investigation is underway,” the source reported on condition of anonymity.

These details still remain preliminary. The exact origin and nature of the alert, as well as the final findings of the security checks, should not be treated as established until confirmed by the relevant authorities.

The diversion of the flight prompted a security response at Jaipur International Airport, but all 306 passengers were reported to have landed safely. The security agencies have inspected the aircraft while the authorities work to establish how the alert originated. The final reports of the incident shall remain subject to the ongoing investigation.
