NEW DELHI: Union home minister Amit Shah Monday emphasised enhanced training for implementing the country's first-ever counter-terrorism and counter-radicalisation doctrine, Prahaar, and expediting trial in cases with cross-border linkages by bringing back fugitives and using trial in absentia to bring foreign-based masterminds to justice.

In his inaugural address at the two-day National Security Strategies Conference, being attended by over 850 officials from the security forces, agencies and police forces, Shah directed that an artificial intelligence-based analysis of information available on multi-agency centre (MAC) platforms be done to create standard operating procedures to counter various security challenges.
