BA, BSc, BCom degrees have weak job linkages, NITI Aayog report says

New Delhi: India’s higher education system needs major changes to better match the skills required by the job market, according to a recent NITI Aayog report titled Reimagining Skilling for Viksit Bharat 2047.

The report pointed out that curricula in many higher and technical education institutions have not kept pace with changing industry needs. As a result, degrees, diplomas and certificates do not always lead to employment opportunities.
