Bengal: Abhishek alleges BJP goons vandalised TMC office in Kolkata, ruling party denies charge

Kolkata: Trinamool Congress (TMC) national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee alleged that a group of armed men vandalised the party's Camac Street office in Kolkata at around 4:30 AM on Thursday, September 3. The Diamond Harbour MP, who was in New Delhi at the time, termed the break-in a "well-planned attack" and claimed the intruders ransacked the seventh-floor premises, damaged furniture, destroyed electronic equipment including televisions, air purifiers, and printers, and forcibly snatched mobile phones from party workers.

He further launched a scathing attack on the Kolkata Police, accusing them of failing to respond for nearly two hours despite repeated phone calls and emails from TMC workers and legal representatives. TMC IT Cell in-charge Upashna Chaudhary and MP Mahua Moitra echoed these concerns, alleging that police may have been directed to stay away while security guards were being assaulted.
